Generally, the OET letters are classified into three in terms of the purpose of writing. The three types of letters in OET writing are: Referral letterDischarge letterTransfer letter Referral Letter A referral is mainly written by a health professional to her colleague, explaining the medical history and present medical condition and the patient. Depending on the position in the medical profession of the writer, the nature of the letter may change.
